For the other families waiting on previews, I will try to get them up tonight. My stomach is giving me a little trouble and I may be coming down with the virus that's been running wild! Hopefully it's just something I ate!

Lucy

Lucy is my newest love!! She my new kitty! I love her tons! Lucy was camped out on a neighbor's porch and they are allergic, so I decided to add one more cat to my collection. No, I'm not some scary cat lady, I only have two cats. So here's my Lucy enjoying her new pad!

Sometimes it's just fun to take a break from shooting people and just shoot "stuff"!! Fortunately for me, my grandparents have alot of "stuff"!!!! I love their yard! 90% of the stuff shot was in their yard!!

Football is in the air!!!

I love fall! It means FOOTBALL!!!! I'm a huge Cowboys fan, but unfortunately, T's dad is not! He loves WV and the Steelers, so I have to suck it up and put lil man in his jerseys. :(

Another Mr. T Post

I know, another shameless Mr. T plug, but I missed the kid!! I haven't seen him in 10 days!! His parents went on vacay and I was going thru withdrawals!!!! Luckily, tomorrow I go back to work, so I get to see my lil sweetie again!!! YAY!!

My grandparents

These are my grandparents. I had the opportunity to spend an entire week in Arkansas with them! Thanks to Hurricane Gustav, I pretty much spent my entire time indoors. I caught up on my soaps and even worked a couple puzzles with my granny. It was really good to see them.

I think the last time I saw them was about 2 years ago. I know, I know....I live 5 hours away, but it's so hard to get away for the weekend. I need to make more of a point to make it up there.

My grandpa had a mild stroke right before I left and I was a little scared, but he's ok. I wanted to take pictures of them, because let's face it, when is the last time they actually had a "professional" photo taken?? Kudos to Gustav for giving me my first rainy photo shoot! It was interesting!!

Ever come across a photo and you're like WOW!!! Well, this happens to be my new favorite photo!! Hope you enjoy!

I'm baaaaaack!!!

I had a great visit with my grandparents. Unfortunately, I was met with 2 days of great, sunny weather before Hurricane Gustav came! I will post some pics later of the aftermath I encountered on my way back to the airport.

It's great to be back in Texas! I really do love this state!! :)

Out of town....

Hey everyone!! I will be out of town from Aug. 30th-Sept. 6th. I'm visiting the grandparents in good ole Arkansas! Good times! I will have limited Internet access, but will answer any emails via my blackberry!

Last night my husband and I were sitting in the family room. I said to him,
‘I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine,
and fluids from a bottle to keep me alive. That would be no quality
of life at all. If that ever happens, just pull the plug.’

So he got up, unplugged the computer, and threw out my wine.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY-PURE BLISS

I LOVE MY JOB!!!

I've been a little bummed all week that my parents are moving back to Japan and today was the day that they flew out. Being the wonderful person she is, my boss had flowers delivered today! How amazing is she!!! They are truly the prettiest flowers I've ever received. Thanks S for the beautiful flowers and for the encouraging words!

Sorry the pics are bad...they were taken with my ole point and shoot! This one is turned the wrong way, but you get the point...lol
I'm thinking that I'll use this color scheme for the business!

Been doing some thinking....

I'm a member of a photographer's forum and came across a post asking for people to post their most powerful images. There were tons of pictures depicting happy moments, but the picture that stuck with me the most was a dad and his two children. The dad had cancer and was at home spending his last few weeks with his family. The emotion that this picture shows is so intense and I cannot imagine being in that situation. My family has been extremely blessed to not have lost anyone. I have a great-grandmother who is 100 years old and my goal next month is to try to get pictures of her. She is such an amazing lady; I wish I knew her better.

That being said, I would like to offer my services to anyone who is dealing with illness or near death. I would love to be able to give a family the gift of pictures that can be cherished long after their loved ones are gone.
